After years of quietly crafting handmade lamps that found their way into homes across the country, Ellie Seattle is making news of its own.

The small Seattle-based studio, known for its colorful stained-glass animal lamps, has confirmed that it will officially close its workshop later this week.

Before shutting its doors, the founders say they are offering customers one final opportunity to own one of the remaining pieces through a farewell sale on the studio’s final inventory.

The brand began as a small creative project between two sisters who shared a passion for handmade art and unique home decor.

What started with a few experimental pieces slowly grew into something much bigger.

Friends began asking for lamps.
Then neighbors.
Soon, orders were coming from customers across the country.

“We never expected it to grow the way it did,” one of the founders said.

“Every lamp we made felt personal.”

Each lamp was assembled by hand using individually cut stained glass pieces.

Every lamp required hours of careful assembly.

Sheets of colored glass were cut, shaped and fitted together to create animal designs ranging from turtles and owls to cats and birds.

For many customers, the lamps became more than just decoration.

They became small pieces of art.

Despite the brand’s growing popularity, running a small handcrafted studio has become increasingly difficult.

Rising material costs and long production hours eventually led the founders to make the difficult decision to close the workshop.

“It wasn’t an easy choice,” they said.

“But we are incredibly grateful for everyone who supported us over the years.”

With the studio preparing to close later this week, Ellie Seattle has launched a final farewell sale offering discounts of up to 80% on the remaining lamps.

Only a limited number of the studio’s final handmade pieces remain available.

Once the remaining inventory is sold, the lamps will never be produced again.

The End of an Era

After years of crafting handmade stained-glass lamps, the founders of Ellie Seattle have confirmed that the studio will officially close this week - with no exceptions.

To thank customers for their support over the years, they have launched a final farewell sale on the remaining lamps.

Once the last pieces are sold, they will never be produced again.
